The Miniature Irish Jersey cows we ordered showed up, quite unexpectedly, this weekend. They are adorable. They cuddle. They are love bugs. You will melt with love when you meet them. They were covered with big nasty burrs. This is actually quite a long and boring story. But the quick version is that they showed up, were left in Salem, were picked up by us in a borrowed cargo van (that I drove on the icy roads) and now they are in a stall in the barn happily hanging out and eating. I'm pretty sure that is all that cows do. These guys are tiny, tiny. We could probably have just tossed them into the back of the corolla! They are 3 months and 6 months old and are smaller than any of the other cows we have. We named them Chiara and Delfinia. Now we have Allegra, Bianca, Chiara and Delfinia. Anyone catch the theme yet? Anyway, here are some pics. Better ones will be coming soon!
