"There are things you do because they feel right
and they may make no sense and they may make no money
and it may be the real reason we are here:
to love each other and to eat each others cooking
and say it was good." -Brian Andreas

Siren Song Farm is a female majority ownership organization dedicated to innovation in ecological agriculture, education and the production of quality produce, mushrooms, meats, art and green living products for local markets.  Siren Song designs and implements permaculture systems based on soil and water preservation, protection of wildlife corridors and education and dissemination of lost horticultural knowledge.

We come from a generation that was not raised to think about our food. For us food comes from the store, not the garden. Making a meal out of fresh, local vegetables is an incomprehensible task for most of us. As such, we are in a prime position to change that pattern. We have educated ourselves and are seeking out information to restore the knowledge that was somehow lost in a generation. We can, and will, be the link between our grandparents who knew how to grow their own food to our children, both urban and rural who will have that knowledge restored to them.

Siren Song brings together the love, talents and interests of sisters Jen and Aby Henry. Artists, farmers, gardeners, equestrians, horticulturists, mycologists and teachers gather here to share their knowledge and enjoy each others company. Although the aspects of this project are diversified, they come together to enhance the life and work of those that come into contact with Siren Song.

"If every U.S. citizen ate just one meal a week composed of locally and organically raised meats and produces, we would reduce our country's oil consumption by over 1.1 million barrels of oil every week. That's not gallons, but BARRELS."
-Steven L. Hopp in Barabara Kingsolvers: "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle"
