If you are a permaculturist living on the West Coast (or the best coast as I like to say) they you know about Tom Ward. Or you should at least pretend you know about him and then quietly google him while no one it looking.
Anyway- Tom Ward taught part of this months PDC with Toby Hemenway. He is a permaculture guru who lives outside of Ashland Oregon and quietly does the most amazing things. We learned about social forestry and wiggle water ways and keyline design. He is fantastic. I left wanting to follow him to Ashland and walk around behind him writing down everything he says. I bought his book. I am a fanatic convert. If I wasn't completely blown away by permaculture before, I am now. You should go and check out his website.

The posters he has up are amazing.
Well, I am off to hang out with my adorable cousins and play on swings and sing Mama Mia.
Below is an example of a nested sphere with three axes showing how to quantify knowledge. Is it experiential? and educated guess? bullshit? When someone is answering a question you can figure out where they are coming from in this model and then understand better how seriously you should listen to them.
