Getting Started

So Aby and I are officially moving Siren Song from Reno to Chico. We are totally excited and totally stressed. Moving with 5 animals is harder than it sounds and it doesn't sound good. We are about 3/4 of the way packed and as we find ourselves sitting in the midst of a blizzard not much more can be done. It will be nice to FINALLY be in Chico full time and quit this horrible commuting.

On the other side of things we have been meeting with Realtors and have identified several spots that would make an amazing home base for Siren Song Farm. I am most fond of the sites in beautiful Butte Valley and Aby prefers the closer locations just south of Chico in the orchards. While I admit the orchards are marvelously beautiful I have some fairly serious concerns about the pesticide and herbicide use that is common practice in them. I will keep you updated as to what we find.

We are meeting with FarmLink and the bank next week so we'll see what we find.
