Miniature Jersey Cows

We currently have four mini Jersey cows for sale. Two are Mini Jersey and two are Mini Irish Jersey. They are 2000.00 each or 1500.00 each if they go in pairs or all together. All of them are up to date on shots and ready to be bred. We will be more than happy to get you into contact with a mini cattle A.I. semen farm so that the cows are bred with the appropriate sized bulls. Mini cattle can NOT be bred with average sized bills, they must be bred with mini bulls. We spend a lot of time with our cows so they are very friendly and attentive and often will come when called. We would prefer that they all go together to a new home or in pairs, as they are very attached to one another and would not thrive well alone.

The Jersey has been, and still is, on of the most desirable breeds chosen for a family milk cow. Of all the milking breeds, milking Jersey cows are still the highest in butterfat production and in total solids. The quality of the milk is excellent, with butterfat content of about 4.9%. This makes them perfect for those who enjoy making cheese, yogurt, butter and other dairy products. Mini cows generally give 1 to 1 1/2 gallons per milking. If the milk is stored in gallon glass Mason jars, each jar of milk will have about 3 inches of cream on the top. Mini Jerseys are a wonderful fit for the homestead or small acreage farm. Depending on the quality of pasture, small-breed cows will need half to 1 acre of pasture per animal. Ideally, it's healthiest if the pasture can be divided into smaller sections and used in a rotational grazing pattern. These small cows don't require heavy duty fencing - a single hot wire will be enough in many cases.

Mini Jerseys are used for dairy production only. While they theoretically could be eaten if you desired, due to a large amount of Vitamin A or keratin in their bodies the fat appears yellow and looks unappetizing.

If you have any questions or are interested in meeting the cows please e-mail us!

Registered Dwarf Nigerian Goats

Picture
All Nigerian Dwarf goats are very social animals and we require that they go to a home that has at least one other goat or that they go in pairs.  We love these goats very much and are looking for good homes for them. They have been free fed on kelp and minerals and we only use herbal wormers so their manure is great to go straight onto your garden.  All of our goats have been heavily socialized and are fine with adults and children as well as ducks, chickens, pigs and cows. The perfect goats for your backyard or small farm. A great way to control weeds, mow and have fresh milk and cheese.  All goats are of breeding age and are ready now to go to their new homes.

Video made by some of the people who bought goats from us this season. Pinot and Nira were so lucky to go to such a wonderful home!

Sprinkles is a petite goat. She is black with mostly white on her head and chest and frosted white on her body and tail. Sprinkles comes from a fantastic line of milkers. Sprinkles gave birth to a surprise baby this season. Apparently our newest blue eyed buck got out and surprise blue eyes baby Pinot was born 5 months later! We were so pleased by what an amazing mother she was. Pinot was one of the most well cared for babies on the farm!

Guinness- $ 200

Picture

Guinness is our favorite buck. He is incredibly friendly and well behaved. Unlike other bucks, we have never had problems with him being aggressive and he gets along well with the baby bucks. He is chamois colored which is dark brown with black patches and he has a cute white patch on his head. Nicknamed Rico Suave for his amazing eyebrows. He would be a great addition to any herd and has been a fantastic herd sire.

Declan- $200 Reserved

Declan is our beautiful blue eyed buck. He has a delightful personality and is quite the charmer with the ladies. He has lovely markings and throws gorgeous babies. We love this little guy and we should warn you that you are going to want to cuddle him if you meet him. He gets along very well with both older and younger bucks. Pinot, the white blue eyed goat in the video above, is his kid from this season.
